Proof of Delivery

Documentation that confirms a shipment was received — typically a signature, photo, or barcode scan captured at the delivery point.

Proof of delivery (POD) is the record that a delivery was completed as specified. In industrial logistics, POD often needs to satisfy audit requirements — warranty claims, consignment reconciliation, or branch inventory updates — which means a simple timestamp isn’t enough. Photos of the delivered goods, recipient signatures, and geo-stamped scans are the standard.

Dispatch captures POD automatically on every delivery through the driver app, making it available in real time through the ops console and exportable for ERP or TMS reconciliation. For customers with specific audit requirements, POD data can also be surfaced via webhook or API.
